SAP Test Case Creation

Creating an SAP test case in WalnutAI using Manual Recording allows you to create automated test cases by performing the required actions directly in the SAP application. As you perform the business flow, WalnutAI captures the actions and converts them into corresponding automated test steps.

Steps to Generate an SAP Test Case Using Manual Recording:

  • Navigate to the Intelligence Hub, select Smart Recording, and ensure the Agent is turned on.

  • Click the AI Recording button in the bottom bar and select Manual Recording as the recording mode.

  • Click the Web button in the bottom bar and select SAP as the test type.

  • On the above bar, enter the SAP Connection Name.

  • To generate the Connection Name in SAP, create or use the required SAP connection configuration and provide a unique name in the Description field. Save the configuration and copy the Description Name. This name is used as the Connection Name in WalnutAI.

  • Paste the Connection Name from SAP into the connection field in WalnutAI and click Connect.

  • Once the SAP connection is established, the SAP application is opened in the Live Screen.

  • Perform the required business flow directly in the SAP application. WalnutAI captures the actions performed during the session and generates the corresponding test steps.

  • Once the required flow is completed, review and customize the generated steps as required. You can edit objects, skip a step, enable Continue on Failure, add a new step, add a nested test case, cancel a step, or debug the test case. For detailed information on modifying individual test steps, refer to Manage a Test Step.

  • Once you have completed the required modifications, click Disconnect to end the session and then click Save to save the generated test case.
