# Manual Recording

**Manual Recording** in WalnutAI allows you to create automated test cases by manually interacting with the application. As you perform actions within the application, WalnutAI captures the interactions and converts them into structured test steps.

To use Manual Recording, configure the available recording options based on your application and testing requirements.

* Select **Manual Recording** to manually interact with the application and capture the required test flow.

* Select the type of application you want to automate. Manual Recording supports **Web, API, Mobile, and Mainframe**.

* Enable **Reuse Session** to reuse an existing application session and previously captured cookies. This is useful for applications that require authentication, such as **MFA**, and helps avoid repeating the authentication process during subsequent recordings.

* Select the browser in which you want to perform the recording. Available options include **Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and WebKit**.

* Enter the **URL** of the application you want to automate and click **Connect**. Once you connect to the application, it opens in a **separate browser window**, where you can perform the required actions.
